Fitting Instructions – Poles and Divas

How to Install Decorator Poles and Diva Tracks

  1. You have a track double or single and you know its length and you know the drop of the curtain.
  2. Centre your track on your window.
  3. You place your 1st bracket with holes in sides [double tracks all have holes in side] measure 5cm in from end of track and drop of curtains plus 5cm from floor.
  4. Place 1st bracket so top flush with marks.
  5. Then mark centre of slot [you have 2 holes only use one] this gives you 10mm of adjustment up or down and ensures a perfect fit drop wise. Bracket has graduations in 5mm adjustments those graduations help grip screw as well as indicate where screw is to be placed.
  6. Repeat at other end and check track is going to fit before you drill.
  7. Then place 2nd bracket 30cm in from 1st bracket 1 each side as this is where weight is of the curtain so it needs greatest support.
  8. Then evenly space remaining brackets if track supplied with more than 4 brackets.
  9. Now if if you have a double track, repeat as single then fit back track 1st on to cam locks by ensuring cam leaver hanging down wards so cam can fit into groove at back of track and once in groove turn ONLY TO THE RIGHT turning to left will only break cam.
  10. Then fit the main decor track by using groove again to fit by placing track so that nib is inside groove and then turn towards you and track is hanging off nibs.
  11. Top board is next. Simply drop it in – no more to do. (See instructions below for W-W information.)
  12. Put mitres on which simply slide on lock up with screws already in place this will in turn place top board correctly. (Note, with mitres, the track size is to running edge size, so mitre adds to overall size. 2cm to slimline. 3cm to Diva. 4cm to Pole.)
  13. GO BACK TO BRACKETS AND RELEASE EACH OF NIB BOLTS BY ½ A TURN THIS ALLOWS YOU TO PUSH TRACK IN UNTIL MITRES TOUCH THE WALL THEN RE TIGHTEN SCREWS. TRACK MTRES AND TOP BOARD ARE ALL LOCKED TOGETHER.

Top Board – Wall to Wall Installations

There are, of course, more complex situations – such as W-W.

  1. As long as the distance from top of track is reasonable, you can simple flex it up enough to get it to fit.
  2. If there is not enough distance, it is possible to cut it into 2 pieces. (Providing you tell us in advance, we will cut it for you; however, if you cut it yourself, it is very simple to cut and place join over the center of a bracket.)

Like many of the items designed by us they defy logic and our top board may well appear to be defying logic probably why nobody ever made one like it.

We are attempting to make everything we design do be advantageous to the installer by making fitting easier so less time, the seller who can sell a better track with many unusual features and the customer who gets an insulating curtain track with the benefits of a pelmet at no extra cost.
